HOW BOTCONTROL WORKS

Choose what
stays.

Start with personal blocks. Use community rules only if you want them.

Under each thumbnail

A compact AI/Human bar shows percentages and the total number of votes in parentheses. Below it: AI?, Human?, Hide video and Hide profile. The same controls appear below the current video title on the playback page. Voting requires membership; personal hiding and tally viewing work for guests. When a filter matches, the entire feed card is removed from layout so remaining loaded videos can move up. A small BotControl hid X videos notice lets you temporarily Show filtered cards, then Hide again. No extra recommendations are fetched.

Two ways to filter

DEFAULT

Personal blocks only

Videos stay visible until you hide them. Hide one video or a channel, remove blocks later, and always allow channels you trust. The separate disclosure filter is optional too.

MEMBER OPT-IN

Community thresholds

Enable live community blocking, choose videos and/or accounts, then set each minimum vote count and AI-vote share. Both conditions must be met before content is hidden.

What does a percentage mean?

If 16 members vote AI involved, two vote human-made, and two vote unsure, the AI vote share is 16 ÷ 20 = 80%. Unsure votes are included. A rule set to at least 20 votes and at least 80% would match. A rule requiring 30 votes would not.

These are member opinions, not calibrated detector probabilities. One verified email address is not proof of one unique person.

Video votes and account votes are separate

A video vote concerns that video. An account vote concerns the channel. Votes on individual videos are not automatically pooled into an account label. Account-level filtering can hide other cards from that account, so it requires its own opt-in and thresholds.

You can override a rule

The page’s “Show” notice temporarily restores filtered feed cards; “Hide again” reapplies the filters. “Always allow channel” overrides community and disclosure rules. A personal block on a specific video takes priority over a channel allowance. “Show everything until I personally block it” turns off community and disclosure blocking while keeping your personal rules.
